I never actually thought about it. I learned English in the 1st & 2nd grades.. so I don't even remember how I learned THIS language either. To think that I've always wanted to learn a 3rd language.. forget about it.
Btw, in case you're wondering why I'm commenting in an old blog post.. life got in the way and I had completely forgotten about your blog for almost 2 years lol. I just remembered about it yesterday and have spent the better part of last night and this afternoon catching up on it. The Granada series with Jeremy Brett is one of the best adaptations of Sherlock Holmes ever.

Have you read the book "Bending the Willow: Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes" by David Stuart Davies. This book is a must read for fans of the Granada adaptation and/or Jeremy Brett.

Cheers!buddy2bloggerhttp://buddy2blogger.blogspot.com/2012/03/review-bending-willow-jeremy-brett-as.htmlnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-484294216621973889.post-89186828085859688482012-03-06T05:26:26.331-08:002012-03-06T05:26:26.331-08:00I chuckled when you talked about the Spanish verbs...I chuckled when you talked about the Spanish verbs. I'm in the same boat myself. It seems like Spanish needs about 30 different verb forms - one for each possible context. For me, that's the most difficult part to learn.

I have quite a few Mexican friends and when we talk in Spanish, I don't use all the different verb forms... just the "ar/er/ir" form, present tense, past tense, and the occasional imperative. Nearly all of the friends appreciate that a "guero" is attempting to use their language and they will cut a person a lot of slack. Many seem to prefer me butchering Spanish than them having to butcher English themselves!Bradhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17726349704057396107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-484294216621973889.post-14424325691865275172012-03-05T18:44:31.624-08:002012-03-05T18:44:31.624-08:00Very cool you are taking Spanish....I wish I was m...Very cool you are taking Spanish....I wish I was more fluent in it.
