The New(est) Kindle

Hola mis amigas!

I've been getting a lot of questions about this lately.

So, I don't recommend products on this site unless I think they're super awesome (This is also why I don't allow advertising at the moment). You may remember that I got a Kindle back at the beginning of the summer. It might be the best investment I ever made considering my living situation. While I miss the feel of a real book, there is just no way to get the selection of books for free and in a devise that saves me so much space.

Anyway, I just saw that Kindle has a new touch screen version for $99. That's less than the one I got just a few months ago (and mine isn't touch screen). They also have a more basic one for $79, but you'll have to do some research.

My coworker: You live in your car and you own a Kindle?!
Me: um... yeah

It's all about priorities.

  1. I'm watching the new Kindle too, don't really need it though, love my Kindle and am very proud of my 900+ free books, (mostly History and Anthropology).
Glad to hear you have found a worthwhile place to live this Winter, sleeping in an idling car can be a bad thing, carbon monoxide wise.
You'll meet a lot of interesting people in a homeless shelter, sometimes the scariest looking ones have the best stories.
Open your heart, open your mind and you will learn more about human nature than you ever expected to.
    Good luck!

  2. I think I read that they'll still have the ones with the keyboard, too. They're going to be like $99, like the touchscreen ones. I'm looking at one, just because I'm big on the keyboard... I like them for navigating and whatnot.

  3. Doyle and Terri, I'm only up to 25 free books and though I was doing ok! You've raised the bar:)

J, Mine has a keyboard and I don't think I'd trade it for one without.
