Leather Rose Anklet

I really wanted to do some beading but am so not coordinated enough to sit with 200 tiny beads and thread them onto a needle. After wandering around Micheal's Craft Store for a good 45 minutes, I decided that leather was more up my ally. This anklet is the result.

I folded the leather in half and stitched the side then turned the whole thing inside out (or right side out...). I'm not going to give you any more hints because, however you choose to make this, it will probably look more professional and take less time than mine did. It was fun though and the total cost was... $3.50! Best of all I feel like I did something productive with my day, though not very practical.
  • Leather: $2
  • Roses: $1
  • Robbin: $.50

  1. Impractical maybe but doing crafty arty things and decorating oneself is something humans do. Otherwise we are just a lump of meat.

  2. Being creative is never a waste of time, nor does everything we do have to be practical.

Doing the creative means you have balance and good humor.

Sounds like you had a good day. It looks lovely!

  4. Most of the craft stores have 40% off coupons in the Sunday paper. If you can't find a discarded coupon section you can check on line and see if there's a downloadable one. 40% off of any one item in the store except things already on sale. I take one on every trip and if the stuff is really expensive break it into two trips.

    The anklet is cute!

  5. It is practical if you think of it as practicing the craft. Selling on Etsy is a very good source of income for mobile life.
