Discovering the first bit of rust on your car is like finding your first grey hair. You know that this rust is the beginning of the end and there's nothing you can do, it's just a natural part of aging. I feel guilty that I wasn't paying close enough attention to discover this sooner. It's a two inch circle of rust at the bottom of my driver's side back door, and I didn't see it until the paint flaked off. Some day this circle of rust will be a hole but, with a little luck, the car will crap out long before it's an issue.
